The three biggest construction companies in Scandinavia choose Blåkläder

The Svenljunga based company Blåkläder takes a greater hold on the Scandinavian market. The three biggest construction companies in Scandinavia, NCC, Skanska and PEAB, now choose Blåkläder as an exclusive distributor of workwear. The agreements run for 3 years and have a total order value of about 450 million SEK.

The driving force of Blåkläder lies in the challenge of developing products which make the workday for the skilled worker safer, easier and more comfortable. Properly dressed, safe and good-looking, inside out is the motto, which is being appreciated by the three biggest construction companies in Scandinavia.

“It is crucial for us at NCC, that Blåkläder delivers workwear of high quality, functionality and with a good fit. We also appreciate that Blåkläder has a production and a warehouse handling of their own as well as a strong environmental focus” says Ole Kristoffersen, Purchasing Manager at NCC.
The Nordic agreements with NCC and Skanska is an extension of 3 years, while the Nordic agreement with PEAB is completely new. The agreement means that Blåkläder becomes an exclusive distributor of work wear to the employees of the companies. Additionally, Blåkläder also delivers shoes and gloves to NCC and PEAB.

“We are extremely proud of receiving the confidence from these three giant construction companies and that proves that our investments are paying off and that we are focusing on the right things. They are, at the same time, giving us challenges that make us develop and expand” says Peter Mönhage, Country Manager for Sweden at Blåkläder.
Blåkläder continuously keep on challenging the workwear business. The product development is being made in close consultation with the users and the collections are being developed according to the requirements on the market. Especially adjusted solutions for specific professions can easily be produced by responsiveness and a flexible production in their own factories in Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

“It’s important to listen to the users instead of doing what we believe is right. Many of our customers wear our clothes at least 40 hours a week. The challenge is to combine function and quality with design to be successful” says Peter Mönhage.

Big agreements require more of Blåkläders capacity. That’s why the company is now investing in the fully automatic warehouse system AutoStore. This investment makes it possible to the make the warehouse surface by 60% more effective. The system also provides a quicker handling of orders and a better delivery performance.anders.carlsson@blaklader.com
